1. Acceptance

By creating an account or installing the CTO.ai GitHub App, you agree to these terms. If you're accepting on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to do so.

2. What the service does

CTO.ai connects to your repositories, builds a structural knowledge graph, and uses an AI agent to propose and maintain an engineering standard (the "charter") for your workspace. See /privacy for what data we process.

3. Acceptable use

• Don't try to extract or resell the derived graph, charter, or aggregated insights for anyone outside your workspace.
• Don't attempt to use the agent to generate content that violates law, Anthropic's usage policies, or third-party rights.
• Don't intentionally try to inject instructions into repos or documents to manipulate the agent. We detect this and will suspend abusive accounts.
• Don't use the service to scan repositories you don't have the right to scan.

4. Subscription + billing

Pricing tiers are published at ctoai.live/#pricing. Paid plans bill monthly via your payment method on file. You can cancel at any time from workspace settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

Free-tier usage is subject to rate limits and feature caps that may change with notice.

5. Termination + data retention

You can delete your account at any time. After deletion:

• Workspace data + artifacts are purged within 30 days.
• Anonymized aggregate usage data may be retained for billing reconciliation up to 24 months (no PII, no source code).

6. Warranties

The service is provided "as is". We make no warranty that the agent's output is correct, complete, or fit for any particular purpose. Charter proposals are advisory; you are responsible for decisions made based on them.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability is limited to the greater of $100 and the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to liability.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes get at least 30 days' notice via email to the address on file. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
